Through the Learning Services Department at St. Francis Xavier Middle School, we offer academic support to students with a variety of educational needs. Xavier Middle School will provide students with support to reinforce academic concepts taught as part of the regular education curriculum. The Learning Services Department determines the level of services we are able to provide given feedback from classroom teachers, parents, and assessment measures. The determination of services will be documented through a building plan known as a Xavier Middle School Accommodation Plan. Wherever possible, the student will remain with his or her peers. A broad range of standardized and classroom-based assessments will be employed to monitor student progress. Interventions will be implemented as needed in the areas of math and literacy.
If you have questions regarding your child’s needs and the services that Xavier Middle School is able to provide, please reach out to the main office and they will connect you with a member of the Learning Services Department.
